                               CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

                                     PAMR 2011

The AAAI-11 Workshop on Automated Action Planning for Autonomous Mobile Robots

                            San Francisco, California
                                  August 7, 2011


The purpose of this workshop is to bring researchers from the Automated
Planning and Mobile Robotics communities together to investigate the
research issues on the use of automated high-level action planning
techniques for mobile robots.  The workshop will provide great
opportunities to exchange ideas and to promote research on automated
planning representations, models, and algorithms for mobile robots to
achieve complex planning tasks.

Seventeen papers will be presented and a joint demonstration and poster
session will be held at the workshop.  The main themes of the papers include:
planning with missing or uncertain information, continual task planning,
multirobot systems and reconfigurable robots, automatic controller
generation, learning spatial information or action durations, and
robot-human interfaces.

The program also features 2 invited talks by:

* David E. Smith (NASA Ames Research Center): Planning from Head to Toe

* Bhaskara Marthi (Willow Garage): Planning in Personal Robotics
