The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Herbert
Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida invites
applications for two postdoctoral researcher positions. These positions
are located at the University of Florida – Research and Engineering

The
incumbent researchers will collaborate with the Air Force
Research Laboratory and will be dedicated to the development and
analysis of deep learning architectures for automatic target recognition
tasks using synthetic aperture radar data/. /The expertise necessary to
achieve the required research objectives includes a strong background
and demonstrated experience in deep/machine learning and one or more of
the following areas: optimization, statistics and probability, graph
theory/network science, algorithmic theory. It is additionally desired
that applicants be proficient in programming (C++, C#, Python, R, etc.)
and have significant experience with the Ubuntu operating system and
utilizing GPU hardware.  Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer
Science, Industrial/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Operations
Research, or any related field. Incumbent applicants will be expected to
actively publish in peer-reviewed journals and present their results at
professional conferences.

Contingent upon availability of funding, the start date is Fall 2018 or
any date thereafter, and the position duration is between one to three
