The Edinburgh Centre for Robotics (ECR), University of Edinburgh,
invites international applications for 11 full-time Postdoctoral
Research Associates (Grade 7) in Robotics, Control, and Machine Learning
to join our new EPSRC funded Robotics and Artificial Intelligence(RAI)
hubs: ORCA, NCNR and FAIR-SPACE.
Particularly, Project A holds *two positions for multi-contact
locomotion and manipulation*:
-Multi-contact planning and optimization: optimization based and/or
learning based planning and control of multi-contact movements in
complex environment, particularly for failure recovery, eg getting up
from prone position.
-Dexterous and coordinated manipulation exploring redundancy and
maximising energy efficiency for manipulation of samples, assembly of
complex structures using tools, as well as manipulation assisted by the
coordination from the mobile base.
