The *PRISMA Lab* (www.prisma.unina.it) at the *University of Naples

postdoctoral research fellow (female/male) who will have a key research
role in the following area: *Aerial Robotics*.

The successful candidate will conduct the research at the PRISMA Lab on
the following projects.

- The European H2020 Project /HYFLIERS/ (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.oulu.fi_hyfliers_&d=DwICbA&c=clK7kQUTWtAVEOVIgvi0NU5BOUHhpN0H8p7CSfnc_gI&r=0w3solp5fswiyWF2RL6rSs8MCeFamFEPafDTOhgTfYI&m=Edl9IEY6_-ccxDVS0YRkxWTNE5YM4Q3CayEE5v6OsNc&s=JPibC6SC3Fwg94OFwbPn4e8CDJetrqdvqg-nVd43T2c&e=),
regarding the world's first industrial integrated robot with hybrid air
and ground mobility, with a long-reach hyper-redundant manipulator
capable of performing ultrasonic thickness measurements for oil and gas
refineries and chemical plants.

- The Italian PON Project /PLACE/, regarding the development and the
control of an aerial prototype that can suitably perform sea samplings
for possible biological and chemical applications.

We are looking for a highly-motivated young scientist with a background
and a Ph.D. in automatic control and/or robotics, preferably with at
least two years of experience abroad. The candidate should have a
respectable publication record among the area of aerial robotics.
_Strong practical competencies in C/C++ programming, ROS, programming,
and piloting of UAVs for research purposes are essential and strongly
required. _

*About PRISMA Lab *

University of Naples Federico II is the third oldest university in Italy
and the oldest public university in Europe. The School of Engineering,
with a population of 11,000 students, is the oldest in Italy and
recently celebrated its second centennial since the foundation by King
Gioacchino Murat in 1811. The PRISMA team operates in the Department of
Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, where since almost 30
years is conducting research in robotics. Current interests include
force control, visual servoing, dual-arm/hand manipulation, human-robot

*Salary and Duration *

The position is full time and will be paid according to the current
Italian scheme. Salary will be determined depending on the level of
experience and research seniority of the individual candidate.
