[robotics-worldwide] [jobs] Colorado School of Mines Open Rank Tenured or Tenure-Track ME Robotics Faculty Position Available

Jeffrey Ackerman
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado School of Mines (Mines) invites applications for an open rank tenured or tenure-track faculty position with a robotics research specialization.  Mines has a highly-collaborative robotics research focus shared by five faculty members in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering.  Our current research expertise spans the following areas: human robot cooperation, interaction, and teaming; robot planning and manipulation; long-term autonomy, perception, and GPS denied navigation; surgical automation; industrial inspection, repair, and additive manufacturing.  Mines is looking to expand the current research agenda in the areas of advanced robotic locomotion, soft robotics, swarming systems, next-generation automated industrial systems, advanced manufacturing, or applied micro/nano-robotics.  Applicants must hold a PhD in mechanical engineering or a closely related field, and post-doctoral experience is preferred.
