The School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering, which is one of the top Engineering Schools in Australia, is committed to research and teaching excellence through its world-class undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a range of exciting technological areas

This position will play a key role in the field of biomechatronics. Research expertise coupled with any of the following sub-fields is highly preferred, but not mandatory: biomechanics, medical robotics and devices, biomedical actuators and sensors, bio-instrumentation, machine dynamics and mechanisms, system dynamics, thermo-science, engineering design, optimisation, innovative manufacturing, bulk materials handling, mechanics of materials, automation and control.

It is expected this position will to teach at all levels of the curriculum including the team-taught introductory engineering subjects and specialised subjects on biomechatronics, biomedical engineering, mechatronics, system dynamics and control, machine design, robotics and automation, engineering mechanics, emerging manufacturing technologies and similar, depending on the expertise of a successful candidate.  We are seeking an individual who will not only be the thought leader of their research field, but also bring new momentum and strength to the disciplines of mechatronic engineering and biomedical engineering in the school.
