Faculty Position in Electrical Engineering,

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at
Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) invites applications for
tenure-track faculty positions in electrical engineering. Preference will
be given to candidates at the assistant professor level, but applications
at other ranks will be considered commensurate with experience and
qualifications. Appointments will be considered for starting dates as early
as July 1, 2018. All applicants must hold great promise for research
leadership and grant funding, teaching excellence, and service
contributions. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a
closely related field.


The faculty search is focused in the broader areas of circuits and
instrumentation, robotics, and micro/nanosystems. In the circuits and
instrumentation area, the department is particularly interested in
candidates with expertise in developing analog/mixed-signal/RF
microelectronic circuits for micro/nanosystems with applications in areas
such as human health, energy and power management, harsh environments, and
manufacturing. In the robotics area, the department is particularly
interested in candidates with expertise in planning, learning, and
sensing/perception in robotic systems. In micro/nanosystems, the department
is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in novel devices
(electronic, photonic, MEMS/NEMS, biomedical, power, etc.), advanced
functional materials, sensors and systems, and integration of heterogeneous
devices for emerging applications. We are also searching for candidates
that work in areas that closely align with the Internet-of-Things (IoT)
Initiative at CWRU.
