PhD/Postdoc researcher in intelligent robotics and process engineering
The Institute for Robotics and Process Control (IRP) at Technische
solicits applications for afully funded PostDoc/PhD position in control
engineering/robotics. The post will be assigned initially for three years,
renewable upon evaluation for up to six years.
The successful candidate owns a master in robotics, automation, control
or mechanical engineering,
computer scienceor a related field. She/he is expected to develop and
pursue an independent
research agenda. If filled at PhD level, topics will be centered at
advanced control of redundant
and humanoid robots with multiple task hierarchies. If filled at PostDoc
level, the successful
candidate is expected to pursue an independent research agenda with the
goal to qualify for a research career. A teaching load of four hoursper
semesters and partial
responsibility for running the robotics lab is part of the job profilein
Required qualifications include practical lab experience in at least one
of the fields of robot control, robot
programming, automation systemsand good programming skills.
A publication record in international journals and top tier conferences
is expected for a PostDoc,
as well as first experience in teaching. Proficiency in Englishis
obligatory, while the institute supports
the acquisitionof German, if necessary. Extended knowledge and
experience in machine learning,
software engineering, robotic applications, or human-machine
interaction is an advantage.
