Topic 1: Robot Localization
We are interested in novel navigation/localization solutions that help enhance the capabilities of mobile robots in large-scale environmental sensing missions. We address the critical issue of GPS-denied localization in long-term missions and the associated environmental sensing problems. Focus areas include concurrent navigation and sensing, long-term autonomy, sensor fusion, dynamics learning, etc.
Topic 2: Multi-robot System
We are also interested in the modeling and decentralized control of multi-robot systems. Focus areas include the coordination of multi-robot systems under the influence of strong geophysical circulations, human-swarm interaction, and swarm security and privacy.
