[robotics-worldwide] [jobs] Inviting Applications for Tenure Stream Position at UofT at Rank of Assistant Professsor
The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invites applications for a tenure stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Robotics, to begin on July 1, 2020, or shortly thereafter.
Candidates must have a PhD in computer science or robotics or a related field by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We are interested in candidates in the following areas of robotics: biomimetic robotics, humanoid robotics, robot control, robot vision, medical robotics, assistive robotics, or human-robot interaction.
Excellence in research will be evidenced primarily by presentation at top ranked conferences and publications in high impact journals in robotics, awards and accolades, the submitted research statement, and strong reference letters by referees of top international stature. A strong commitment to excellence in teaching will be demonstrated by teaching accomplishments, the teaching dossier including a teaching statement, sample course materials and teaching evaluations, as well as strong endorsements from referees.
