About Us
Karma3 is a Biotechnology startup based in Melbourne, Australia, harnessing the efficiency of the black soldier fly larvae to upcycle food waste into valuable products. We employ a diverse and highly talented team who are passionate about eliminating the environmental impact of food production and consumption. We need more passionate people on our team who are ready, willing and able to channel their skills and knowledge into thinking outside the box, generating innovative ideas and solving real-world problems.

About the Job
At Karma3, we are on a rapid trajectory towards full-scale deployment of our technology and seek to grow our applied research and engineering team. We are searching for talented engineers to work closely with our entomologists, agronomist, researchers and fellow engineers to develop new system concepts and implement practical and functional solutions.

To be successful, you should have broad experience in electro-mechanical systems and possess a proven history of designing and constructing such systems. At Karma3 we are more than just about the theory, our teams design real-world solutions to real-world problems.

Required Experience/Skills:
* Electro-mechanical (Mechatronic) Engineering Degree, or equivalent
* Knowledge of microcontroller system design and prototyping
* Ability to use common machine shop tools and equipment
* Strong problem identification, research and analysis capability
* Able to readily communicate concepts through sketches, flowcharts, and technical writing
* Experience in 3D component design
* Ability to work closely within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
