Dear Roboticists,

We are an ambitious start-up based in Abu Dhabi that values people,
intellectual engagement, transparent communication and collaboration. We
are currently working on advanced UAV systems, with the aim to develop next
generation UAV Swarm Technologies and Products.

We are looking for highly skilled, motivated, and passionate engineers and
researchers with strong hands-on experience in UAVs and robotic systems
that can spearhead the development of multi-robots aerial system for
deployment in real-world scenarios.

You will work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that combines expertise
in robotics, machine learning and computer vision to implement state of the
art and beyond algorithms derived from world-class research. Your main
responsibilities will include design, development, testing, and
optimization of existing and new algorithms for: real-time control; state
estimation; multi-robot coordination; and mapping and planning for a fleet
of aerial robots.

In Abu Dhabi, salaries and remuneration are extremely competitive and
tax-free, and will be commensurate to the candidate's expertise and
experience.

We are looking to hire extremely talented engineers and researchers for the
following roles:

Senior UAV Autonomy Engineer

As an Autonomous Drone expert, you will work with a dynamic,
multi-disciplinary team to implement state of the art algorithms derived
from world-class research.

Your responsibilities will include developing, testing and optimization of
existing and new methods for real time control, state estimation and
planning of aerial robots. These algorithms need to be lightweight such to
run on embedded platforms

Duties and Responsibilities

   -

   Design and implement innovative UAV systems and payloads to be employed
   autonomously in real-world applications
   -

   Development of novel algorithms to achieve robust and control of
   unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the presence of external disturbances
   -

   Designing, planning and conducting real-world experiments
   -

   Develop practical high-performance UAV systems that can operate in
   extreme and challenging environments
   -

   Engage with external stakeholder(s) and sponsors on a regular basis to
   disseminate results and receive end user feedback

Essential Qualifications

   -

   You have a Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering,
   Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or closely related field
   -

   Proven theoretical and practical experience with autopilots and firmware
   -

   Strong publication track in international, high-quality journals and
   conferences
   -

   Strong experience in closed loop control and state estimation for aerial
   robots
   -

   Strong background in filtering approaches to fuse multiple sensor data
   to obtain reliable state estimation and real time control
   -

   Ability to work organized and independently
   -

   You are strong in one or more of the following areas: Visual Inertial
   Odometry, LIDAR/Vision-based SLAM, Machine Learning for Semantic
   Classification.
   -

   Knowledge of UAV modelling and control, forward/inverse kinematics and
   dynamics, spatial transformations, trajectory design and path planning
   -

   Knowledge of behavior-based control, navigation, obstacle avoidance


   -

   Experience with C/C++, Python, and ROS


Good to Have

   -

   Experience in Deep learning will be a plus


   -

   Experience with Decentralized Visual SLAM

   Experience with distributed version control system such as git

   Experience in 3D mapping

Senior UAV Swarm Engineer

As a Swarm drone control expert, you will work with a dynamic,
multi-disciplinary team to implement state of the art algorithms for
multi-robot coordination, control, and estimation.

Your responsibilities will include the design of multi-robot algorithms to
guarantee the ability to a team of agents no navigate in the environment
avoiding obstacles

Essential Qualifications

   -

   You have a Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering,
   Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or closely related field
   -

   Experience with multi-robots control and motion planning algorithms
   -

   Strong publication track in international, high-quality journals and
   conferences
   -

   A strong theoretical background in multi-agent planning, decision-making
   under uncertainty, swarm robotics, and/or human-robot interaction
   -

   Experience with C/C++, Python, and ROS

Good to Have

   -

   Experience in Deep learning will be a plus

System Engineer – Autonomous Systems Integration Engineer

As a System Integrator, you will work with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary
team to implement state of the art algorithms derived from world-class
research.

Your responsibilities will include developing, testing and optimization of
software modules needed for real time control, estimation and maintain a
functional fleet of quadrotors. These algorithms need to work under real
time constraints on aerial platforms, which have limited computational
capabilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

   -

   Designing, implementing and testing the real-time control, path planning
   and path following algorithms for a set of non-conventional UAV platforms.
   C/C++ development that will be implemented in real-time platforms.
   -

   Development of these algorithms will be done in C/C++ and implemented in
   simulation and in real-time on embedded (bare metal, RTOS or Linux)
   platforms.
   -

   Work closely with other researchers and engineers to exploit various
   state estimation modalities in order to achieve optimal guidance and
   control solutions


Essential Qualifications

   -

   You have a Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering,
   Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or closely related field
   -

   You are a proficient C/C++ programmer with 5+ years industry experience
   and with programming experience in a Linux-based software development
   environment (e.g., Familiarity with the CMake toolchain)
   -

   Experience with embedded systems
   -

   Familiarity with libraries for multi-thread programming, computer vision
   OpenCV/OpenGL/OPenGV, and tools such as Boost, Eigen, Qt
   -

   Experience in developing and implementing algorithms for aerial robots
   -

   Experience to write robust, safety-critical and efficient code
   -

   GPU optimization skills
   -

   Experience with distributed version control system such as git
   -

   Soldering and hardware prototyping skills
   -

   Ability to design, build, fabricate and implement electronic and
   mechanical components in UAVs for research and test purposes
   -

   Experience in ROS and its development environment
   -

   Experience with optical tracking systems (e.g., OptiTrack, Vicon,
   Qualisys, etc.)
   -

   Strong analytical skills and mathematical foundation
   -

   Ability to design and conduct experiments


Good to Have

   -

   You have experience with embedded systems, computer hardware, and
   sensors small enough to be used on unmanned aerial vehicles
   -

   Experience with various drone autopilots and protocols (e.g. PX4,
   ArduPilot, DJI SDK, Mavlink, Mavros)
   -

   You have worked with sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, and IMU
   -

   You are familiar with graphical user interface development (e.g., Qt)
   and open source libraries for 3D rendering/visualization (e.g.,
   OpenSceneGraph)
   -

   Experience to design and implement user interfaces for control and
   navigation of aerial robots
   -

   Experience piloting RC aircraft, or willingness to learn
   -

   3D CAD experience (Onshape)



Autonomous Systems / Full Stack Test Engineer

Innovative and experienced test engineer, with specific expertise in
Unmanned Aerial Vechicles (UAVs). You will be expected to support a
product’s design, development and analysis activities from requirements
definition through development, qualification testing and low rate initial
production (LRIP). You will be expected to perform assigned duties with
minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

   -

   Track aircraft system status including avionics, propulsion, structures,
   and software versioning
   -

   Establish flight worthiness through inspection and ground testing
   -

   Organize and procure flight testing equipment
   -

   Performs: safety reviews; flight readiness checks; flight reports and
   vehicle records/log analysis/diagnosis; system health monitoring


   -

   Balance the testing risk/reward based on mission objectives and in
   collaboration with other experts and engineers
   -

   Evaluates: controller performance; aerodynamic performance;
   communications
   -

   Piloting: competence with various levels of autonomy from pure RC to
   “hands-off”; fully autonomous mission planning with ground station
   -

   Simulated flight testing through hardware in the loop (HITL) and
   software in the loop (SITL) simulation
   -

   Learning and diagnosing propulsion subsystem behavior
   -

   Training new operators and documenting operational manuals for clients


Essential Qualifications

   -

   You have a Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering,
   Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field
   -

   2+ years industry experience working on robotics and automation
   -

   Control System Design: classical, modern, appreciation for some
   nonlinear techniques and implementation in the discrete time domain.
   -

   Strong mathematical knowledge - pure mathematics, linear algebra,
   statistics and numerical methods
   -

   3+ years of experience in C++/C and python
   -

   Experience with robot operating system (ROS)
   -

   Experience with distributed version control system such as git
   -

   RC flying experience with fixed wing and rotorcraft – or willingness to
   learn
   -

   Familiar with standard electronic test and measurement equipment

Good to have:

   Experience in building and prototyping small aircraft

   Experience with Altium Designer or other ECAD software

   Experience with the design of UAV and related systems
