The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Bioengineering and Robotics (DIBRIS) of the Universita’ di Genova (Italy) offers 3 PhD scholarships for students applying for research activities in the area of *Robotics and Autonomous Systems*.

 

We are looking for highly talented, motivated and skilled candidates to work on one of the following research topics:

 

1. APPROXIMATE METHODS FOR ACTIVE IDENTIFICATION

2. GOAL-BASED COOPERATION AND REASONING MODELS FOR HETEROGENEOUS ROBOT SWARMS MADE-UP OF TERRESTRIAL AND AERIAL ROBOTS

3. SENSOR BASED CONTROL OF BI-MANUAL ROBOTS FOR HUMAN-ROBOT COOPERATIVE OPERATIONS

4. TACTILE SENSING TECHNOLOGIES AND PERCEPTION

5. CULTURE-AWARE ROBOTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SENSOR SYSTEMS FOR ELDERLY SUPPORT

6. SURFACE AND UNDERWATER DEPLOYMENT AND DOCKING SYSTEMS FOR UNDERWATER AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES

The PhD has a duration of three years and the scholarship amounts to 16,500.00 €/year. PhD students will also have a personal allowance of 1,650 €/year for travels and research activities.
