[robotics-worldwide] [jobs] PhD position in Robotics and Computer Vision at TU Berlin

Guillermo Gallego
The Robotic Interactive Perception Lab at the Technical University of Berlin
(Germany) has the following open position:

Working field:
The PhD candidate will investigate novel vision-based algorithms that
combine model-based and machine learning methods for scene
understanding and spatial AI (motion estimation, segmentation, 3D
reconstruction, etc.) using traditional cameras and novel sensors, such
as event-based cameras ( https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__arxiv.org_abs_1904.08405&d=DwIFaQ&c=clK7kQUTWtAVEOVIgvi0NU5BOUHhpN0H8p7CSfnc_gI&r=0w3solp5fswiyWF2RL6rSs8MCeFamFEPafDTOhgTfYI&m=VXfOVccSwvOks9WIqpnvc-9r1-6Yq-VsYh9QFVrxfs4&s=NNTjR3NxXLRnVDy8iMUy2Z1QMTkjpREavvBTroQUhIg&e=  ). The work
combines multiple disciplines in robotics: perception, optimization
and control.

Requirements:
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or
equivalent) in Computer Science or a related engineering subject with
outstanding results.
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with computer vision,
robotics, machine learning, control, object-oriented programming and
applied mathematics.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills. Willingness to learn
German is expected.

How to apply:
Required documents:
- Cover Letter with your interest and experience related to the
position (1 page).
- CV. Please indicate your relevant skills, scientific publications,
awards, research videos and/or code, professional profile(s).
- Bachelor’s and Master's degrees and transcripts. Specify your GPA
(e.g. 3.8/4.0)

Please send your application with the usual documents as one single PDF
file to [hidden email]

To ensure equal opportunities between women and men, applications by
women with the required qualifications are explicitly desired.
Qualified individuals with disabilities will be favored. The TU
Berlin values the diversity of its members and is committed to the
goals of equal opportunities.
