The Neuromechanics and Biomechatronics group of the Department of Biomechanical Engineering (Faculty of Engineering Technology and MIRA Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine) at the University of Twente, The Netherlands has an opening for a PostDoc researcher within the research area of wearable robotics.

The goal of this research is to develop algorithms, which enable amputees wearing powered knee prostheses to achieve functional mobility. By implementing  control algorithms, we aim that amputees can gain more natural, symmetrical, and efficient gait. The work involve human intention detection, sensor data fusion and classification, control algorithms and possibly machine learning and artificial intelligence.
