POSTDOC POSITION AVAILABLE IN ROBOT VISION/MANIPULATION
NASA JET PROPULSION LABORATORY, PASADENA, CA
The Computer Vision Group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in
Pasadena, California, is looking for a postdoc to conduct research
in robot vision with emphasis on vision-guided manipulation. The position
is available immediately, and will remain open until filled.
JPL conducts research in robot vision, manipulation and autonomy for
both terrestrial and planetary applications. This position will
support basic and applied research on autonomous manipulation in
traditional human environments, underwater, and in space. Current
areas of emphasis include semantic manipulation via deep neural
networks, and manipulation primitives for supervised autonomy.
The successful candidate will have a degree(s) in Engineering,
Physics, Math, Computer Science or a related field, a solid background
in computer vision or robot learning, experience with hardware, and
fluency in at least one mainstream computer programming
language. Experience in robot manipulation is optional but
