[robotics-worldwide] [jobs] Postdoc: Using humanoid robots for rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children

Laura Rachman
Dear all,

We have a new postdoc project that involves both robotics and
psychophysics! We have a NAO humanoid robot, “Sam”, that we would like to
use as an interface to conduct scientific experiments involving voice and
speech perception with children with hearing loss. We also want to explore
if we can utilise Sam for training for improving voice and speech

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious postdoctoral scientist with
a background in engineering, robotics, artificial intelligence, or similar,
to join the VICI project of Prof. Deniz Baskent, funded by the Netherlands
Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). The position is at the ENT
Department, dB-SPL Lab, of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG)
in the Netherlands.

Please find more details at the link below, and don’t hesitate to share
with students, lab members, or anyone that might be interested.

Deadline for applications: 31 October 2019

Kind regards,
Laura Rachman
Also on behalf of Deniz Baskent and Etienne Gaudrain
