/Seeking postdoc in deep reinforcement learning for character/humanoid
control and planning / Research will focus on the development of techniques for planning agents that physically interact with their environment and with each other. To this end, the ideal candidate will hold interest in a) physical simulation and control for high degree of freedom (articulated) agents, and b) motion planning for (human/robotic) agents with non-trivial dynamics. The candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science or related field, and a solid background in related areas, e.g. robotics, animation, simulation, and AI, as demonstrated by top-tier publications in the respected fields. The position will be nominally a two-year appointment as part of the School of Computing at Clemson University, housed in the Zucker Family Graduate Education Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Clemson University enrolls nearly 22,000 students, with 17,000+ undergraduate and 4,500+ graduate students. Research and economic development activities are enhanced by public-private partnerships at three innovation campuses and six research and education centers located throughout South Carolina. Clemson University is ranked 21st among national public universities by U.S. News & World Report and is classified in the highest research category by the Carnegie Foundation.
