Summary:
The Center for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS) at Örebro University, Sweden is looking to employ a postdoctoral researcher in computer science, with a focus on machine learning for semantic perception in mobile robotics. About the position:

The position will involve collaboration with industrial partners (Husqvarna, Volvo, Atlas Copco, Kollmorgen Automation among others), as well as work in a scientific research team at AASS. Duties of the researcher will involve the design, selection, implementation, and evaluation of machine learning approaches for various perception related problems, such as pose estimation, scene understanding, and object detection and recognition. Additional responsibilities will include travel to partner sites and data collection.

Requirements:
* A completed PhD degree in computer science, robotics, or a related discipline. The degree should have been attained within the past three years (time spent on parental leave and civil service can be deducted).
* Solid theoretical background in state-of-the-art machine learning techniques.
* Prior experience in applying machine learning techniques to real world problems, preferably in the context of computer vision.
* Excellent programming skills and preferably good knowledge of C++ and ROS.
* Experience in collaborative projects is a plus.
