Job Description


  *   The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for developing novel intelligent control strategies for cooperative autonomous systems operating in adversarial environments. Theoretical and applied research aspects will be addressed. The person in this position will conduct research, generate publications, mentor undergraduate and graduate students.


  *   Develop intelligent control strategies for autonomous systems operating in adversarial conditions.
  *   Implement results in real-time unmanned systems.
  *   Write, review, and edit research articles.
  *   Advise and mentor students.
  *   Perform other duties as assigned.


  *   Doctoral Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Science or closely related field.
  *   Publications in the domain of control systems (intelligent, adaptive, optimal control)
  *   Proficient in MatLab, ROS, Linux, Ubuntu
  *   Excellent communication skills to be able to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  *   Ability to multi-task and ability to work well under deadlines.
  *   Excellent computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  *   Specialist in one or more areas of control systems including but not limited to, intelligent control, adaptive control and optimal control.
  *   Experience with multi-agent systems and real-time embedded systems is a plus.
  *   Experience working with faculty, fellow postdocs, undergraduate and graduate students.
