invites applications for up a* fully funded post-doctoral researcher
position in surgical robotics*. The work will involve multi-modal sensor
integration (including computer vision) with robot/patient state estimation
and control across autonomous robots and ancillary medical devices to
automatically recognize acute patient or surgical conditions, generate
estimates and recommendations of task-level planning, and control these
systems in a feedback loop. The scope of work spans multiple platforms,
from a custom daVinci Surgical Robot to development of embedded patient
health monitoring.

The post-doc position is for12 months with the possibility of renewal. The
candidate are expected to lead independent research projects, work closely
with our medical collaborators, mentor students, and publish in high-impact
journals each year.

Applicants should have evidence of a strong background in robotics and
systems engineering, exceptional communication skills, outstanding
analytical skills and demonstrated independence as a researcher. A strong
publication record is required.
