These Research Engineer positions target candidates holding a Master degree (or equivalent)^1. Each of the selected candidates is expected to work, according to his/her preference, on one of the following two topics:
A) Development and integration of outdoor navigation and manipulation skills into tasks carried out by an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), required to solve Challenges 2 and 3 of MBZIRC2020.
B) Development and management of the software architecture that will support the execution of tasks in A) by the UGV, as well as the development and implementation of the cooperation algorithms with the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that will cooperate with the UGV on Challenges 2 and 3 (responsible: U. Seville + CATEC).
Requirements: the candidates are expected to have a MSc of equivalent degree with strong background in robotics, artificial intelligence, information/computer engineering or a mix of the three. Good programming skills in Python and/or C++, and experience with ROS, are also expected. The working language is English, so good written and oral communication skills are also required.
Duration: 15 months (full time) ^2
