The School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE) at the University of Queensland (UQ) is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to work on robust manipulation planning. The research fellow will be working on algorithm design, development, and its application to manipulation planning.

This project will involve a close collaboration with Woodside Energy, Australia’s largest independent oil and gas company, thereby providing a good experience on the combination of academic and industry research, as well as good networking opportunities with both academia and established industry in Australia.

The ideal candidate would be:

UQ is a Go8 (research intensive) university. It is an exciting time to get involved with UQ's School of ITEE.  The School is ramping up its investment in research, and places automation (including autonomous operation) as one of its four focus areas. We offer competitive remuneration, ranging from A$95,407 - A$128,000, (including 17% superannuation), depending on qualifications and experience. The position is available for an initial of 1 year.
