The journal Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220, IF 2.677) is currently running a
Special Issue entitled "Tactile Sensors and Applications". Prof. Pedro
Silva Girão(Instituto de Telecomunicações DEEC/IST), Assoc. Prof. Pedro
Ramos(Instituto de Telecomunicações DEEC/IST), Dr. Perla Maiolino
(University of Cambridge) and Assoc. Prof. Giorgio Cannata (University of
Genova) are serving as Guest Editors for this issue. The special issue

   - Tactile sensor array
   - Touch-based human–robot interaction

The submission deadline is *10 December 2018*. You may send your manuscript
now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not be under
consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send
a short abstract or tentative title to the Editorial Office in advance to

Sensors is covered by leading indexing services, including the Science
Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Chemical
Abstracts, INSPEC, and CAB Abstracts. The latest Impact Factor for the year
2016 is 2.677, and the five-year Impact Factor is 2.964.

Sensors is fully open access. Open access (unlimited and free access by
readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations, as
indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the authors and
their institutes. Article Processing Charges of CHF 1800 (APC) apply to
accepted papers. You may be entitled to a discount if you have previously
