We are inviting submissions to a special issue of the Robotica Journal
dedicated to Human Robot Interaction and Collaboration. The topic has
been an important focus of methodological, theoretical and experimental
research for over two decades, with industrial as well as service
applications. This special issue is based on contributions that
presented in the 27th International Conference on Robotics in
Alpe-Adria-Danube Region, RAAD 2018, held in Patras Greece. Papers in
the following areas are particularly welcome, as long as they pertain to
the general theme of the special issue:

  * Human-Robot Interaction (HRI),
  * Human Robot Collaboration,
  * collision detection, collided link identification and retraction,
  * safety in HRI,
  * variable stiffness mechanisms and actuators,
  * learning by demonstration or imitation.

In order to be considered for publication, a submission must have a
significant novel component. All submissions must contain original
unpublished work that is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
Submissions will be refereed according to standard procedures for
Robotica. Information about the journal can be found at
https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.cambridge.org_core_journals_robotica&d=DwICAg&c=clK7kQUTWtAVEOVIgvi0NU5BOUHhpN0H8p7CSfnc_gI&r=0w3solp5fswiyWF2RL6rSs8MCeFamFEPafDTOhgTfYI&m=ELtC-uycJOkcQwgf36ODBTvv8Y2gQmxKIKxCKnspwEU&s=OaGHG_2TT-csY5ywe-TXGnL2k8T7QU-xA2UGahykuRY&e=

Papers for the special issue should be submitted using the ScholarOne
tool available at the journals website. If you are interested in
submitting a paper, please send us a one-page abstract of your paper by
October 15th to the e-mails shown below.

The schedule for the special issue is:
