Aiming to serve the global stance of Robotics and Mechatronics in the
contemporary world, and to contribute to the scientific advancement of
research in the broadest and most modern fields of Robotics and
Mechatronics, the Robotics Society of Iran (RSI) organizes and holds
international conferences on a yearly basis, supported by the Academy of
Sciences of IR Iran, along with other scientific societies. This year,
RSI is in charge of organizing and holding the 6th International
Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics (ICRoM), which will be held in
The Iran University of Science and Technology, in Tehran.

The International Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics mainly strives
to create an environment where researchers, academics, instructors, and
scientists can gather from different corners of the globe, and not only
share their ideas, researches, innovations, and breakthroughs, but also
be made aware of, observe, and comment on other material published by
other fellow researchers in the related fields. The ultimate goal is to
expose the multitude of researchers to a variety of ideas, innovations
and research motives, and perhaps, under auspices of sharing and
communication, invoke new research ideas, introduce new challenges in
the related fields, and ultimately, contribute to research in the fields
of Mechatronics and Robotics.

INDEXING AND PUBLICATION

The accepted and presented papers would be submitted to IEEE Xplore for
indexing. It should be noted that the papers should follow all the rules
governing ICRoM 2018 and IEEE to be eligible for indexing. The indexing
follows IEEE rules and guidelines. Please refer to the "related links"

ABOUT TEHRAN

Larger than New York and more crowded, Tehran is the capital city of
Iran, located in Tehran province, at the middle of Iran (refer to the
"related links" section of the present email for the location of the
city on the map). With a population of around 8.3 million and surpassing
14 million in the wider metropolitan area, Tehran is Iran's largest city
and urban area, and the largest city in Western Asia. The city is home
to many historic mosques, churches, synagogues and Zoroastrian fire
temples. However, modern structures, notably Azadi (Freedom) Tower and
the Milad Tower, have come to symbolize the city.

With its antenna spire standing 435 meters high off the ground, Milad
Tower (a.k.a. Tehran Tower) is the tallest tower in Iran, and the
sixth-tallest telecommunication tower in the world. It consists of five
main parts, including the foundation, transition (lobby) structure,
shaft, head structure and the antenna mast. With its shear architectural
beauty and structural attraction, along with the lookout point on top of
it, under the antenna mast, this tower attracts millions of visitors
from Iran alone, each and every single day. It has a beautiful
marketplace at the lobby, and a picturesque view of the whole city at
the lookout point.

Several parks are built in Tehran as tourist attractions, such as the
Chitgar park, the so-called Nature bridge, Mellat park, Niavaran park,
Lavizan park, and so forth.
