*Dear Colleagues*

*

The Duckietown Foundation is excited to announce that the Urban Event is
now underway in the 3rd edition of the AI Driving Olympics (AI-DO).

The event will use the Duckietown platform, a miniature self-driving car
platform used for autonomy education and research.

Round 3 of Duckietown at the AI-DO comprises 3 challengesof increasing
complexity: 1) Lane following; 2) Lane following while avoiding other
vehicles and obstacles; and 3) Lane following and intersection
navigation while avoiding other vehicles and obstacles.

GETTING STARTED:

It’s not difficult to get started. We provide a series of templates
(ROS, PyTorch, Tensorflow) and baseline algorithm implementations
(“Classic”, Reinforcement Learning, Imitation Learning).

All the details are in the AI-DO book:

The AI Driving Olympics is a global robotics competition that comprises
a series of events based on autonomous driving. This time around the
Olympics comprises three events: Urban(Duckietown), Advanced
Perception(Aptiv nuscenes), and Racing(AWS DeepRacer). The objective of
the AI-DO is to engage people from around the world in friendly
competition, while simultaneously benchmarking and advancing the field
of robotics and AI.
