[robotics-worldwide] [meetings] ASME IDETC/CIE 2020 Joint Symposium: Motion Planning, Dynamics, and Control of Robots

Joo H. Kim
Dear Colleagues:

We cordially invite you to submit research contributions to the joint
symposium “Motion Planning, Dynamics, and Control of Robots” at the
upcoming ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences
(IDETC) in August 16-19, 2020, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

This symposium is jointly organized by the 44th Mechanisms and Robotics
Conference (MR) and the 16th International Conference on Multibody Systems,
Nonlinear Dynamics, and Control (MSNDC), as part of the ASME IDETC 2020.
Selected papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of
the ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics.

Papers are solicited in the areas of motion planning, dynamics, and control
of robots and mechanisms.  Theoretical, experimental, and computational
aspects are all invited.  Topics of interest include, but are not limited

§  Legged and mobile robots

§  Serial and parallel robots

§  Dynamic analysis, modeling, and simulation

§  Control methods and controller design

§  Trajectory optimization and optimal control

§  Applications of machine learning and AI

§  Manipulation and locomotion

§  Stability and efficiency

Important Dates:

§  Submission of Abstract and Full-Length Paper for Review:  February 24,

§  Author Notification of Acceptance:  April 13, 2020

§  Final Paper Submission:  May 21, 2020
