As the deadline for early-bird registrations approaches, we are calling for
contributions to the full day IROS 2018 workshop on on Latest Advances in
Big Activity Data Sources for Robotics and New Challenges. We would like to
invite the attendees of this workshop to submit their early results in the
field as a scientific paper (max. 4 pages + references).

**Workshop Description**

This workshop is intended for roboticists interested in improving the
reliability and autonomy of robots by leveraging big activity data sources.

We hope to bring together outstanding researchers and graduate students to
discuss current trends, problems, and opportunities in activity
representations, encouraging communication and common practices such as
sharing datasets and data formats among scientists in this field.


Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Cloud-based Big Data Sources
Motion databases

–  Virtual Reality in Robotics Applications

Designing VR-based Games with Purposes
Activity Recognition and Recording in VR Frameworks

– Representations of Activity Data inside Symbolic Knowledge Bases
