[robotics-worldwide] [meetings] IROS2018 Call for Workshops

Miguel A. Salichs
Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to announce that the IROS2018 Call for Workshops is
open (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.iros2018.org_call-2Dfor-2Dworkshops&d=DwIDaQ&c=clK7kQUTWtAVEOVIgvi0NU5BOUHhpN0H8p7CSfnc_gI&r=0w3solp5fswiyWF2RL6rSs8MCeFamFEPafDTOhgTfYI&m=IWvyntv9OpHeEzXs-GXQHmSmV9r9r_-nlPHvDRybKik&s=G5uKXYAA5EgkYgNepEGxp4wCFcPEQ2NvU3Ef-E75J0U&e=). Under the theme
Towards a Robotic Society, prospective organizers are invited to submit
high-quality workshops proposals. Half- or full-day workshops should
focus on presenting results and promoting discussion about specific
sub-topics or a well-defined active research area of interest for the
robotics community.

We are particularly interested in proposals that cover material or use
presentation formats that are not found within the main conference. We
highly welcome creative new formats that increase the number of
participants, that encourage participants to stay for the full duration
of the event, that enhance discussion among them, that also increase the
level of interaction between established experts and early-career
researchers, and that make useful connections to fields outside of robotics.

Important dates:

March 11, 2018: Deadline for workshops submission
April 20, 2018: Notification of acceptance of workshops

Your sincerely,

IROS2018 Workshops Committee:

Antonio Bicchi - U Pisa
Gordon Cheng - TUM, Munich
Abderrahmane Kheddar – JRL, Tsukuba
Lianqing Liu - CAS, Beijing
