First call for participation for the European Robotics League (ERL) Emergency Robots Tournament 2018 - land + sea robots, La Spezia, Italy, 14-20 July 2018
Dear friends and colleagues,
after the finale of the European Robotics League (ERL) Emergency 2016-2017 season, culminated with the multi-domain competition held at the Piombino (Italy) power plant in September 2017, we are ready to start a new exciting season of the Emergency Robots league.
We are pleased to inform you that the next ERL Emergency Robots event will be held in La Spezia, Italy, at CMRE premises from 14 to 20 July, 2018.
Cooperative teams of land and sea (underwater) robots will be challenged to accomplish search and rescue tasks in a disaster response scenario.
The ERL local and major tournaments are based in Europe and are open to international participation. Three leagues are present, each one addressing one vibrant field of robotics: Industry, Service and Emergency Robots. Competitors will engage in annual local tournaments organised by a consortium of Europe´s most prestigious robotics institutes. Biennial major tournaments will be held in Smart Cities, where robots from all three categories will come together to interact with the smart infrastructure in familiar urban settings.
Looking forward to meeting you at the ERL Emergency Robots in July!
